Apple pie Wet, soft, fragrant cake with two layers of apples and a very tasty dough! Orange note in this pie perfectly matches with apple pie, although for cinnamon lovers it is possible to replace without substitute a zest for this spice! The pie turns out to be big enough, but, believe me, it will go at a time - well, it's very tasty! This pie takes the second place in my rating of home baking (right after that Apple pie with creamy filling). Or is it the first? I have not decided yet, I must prepare for another trial! Prepare and you! Very tasty!
Ingredients:- Flour, wheat 300 g
- Butter 300 g
- Sugar 250g
- Apple 6 pcs.
- Eggs chicken 5 pcs.
- Dry yeast 1 tsp.
- Orange 1 pc.
- Brown sugar 1 tbsp. l.
- Step 1 To prepare a double layer apple pie, we need wheat flour, sugar, small apples, chicken eggs (3 yolks and 5 proteins), orange, butter, dry yeast, for sprinkling with brown or plain sugar.
- Step 2 In a deep bowl, combine the soft butter and sugar.
- Step 3 Whisk with a mixer until a uniform oil mass is obtained and introduce the egg yolks.
- Step 4 Whisk the oil until the yolks intervene, and pour in the dry yeast and the dried peel of one orange.
- Step 5 Stir and pour the sifted wheat flour.
- Step 6 Mix the dough. At this stage it is thick!
- Step 7 Whisk egg whites until firm peaks.
- Step 8 Introduce in the dough 1/3 whipped egg whites.
- Step 9 Gently mix the dough with a spatula, interfering with the proteins.
- Step 10 So we introduce the remaining proteins in 2 more steps. The dough became elastic and smooth, got a very pleasant consistency.
- Step 11 Peel the apples, cut out the core and cut them into thin slices. Apples will need a lot!
- Step 12 In the baking dish (I have a silicone, diameter 24 cm), put half the dough, level the surface. By the way, it is very convenient to do this with a silicone spatula.
- Step 13 Put half the apple slices on the dough, covering them with the whole surface of the dough.
- Step 14 On apples we spread the remaining dough, again we level the surface.
- Step 15 And lay out the remaining apple slices on the dough, as well as in the first layer, covering them with the entire surface of the dough. Sprinkle the apple layer with brown sugar (or usual).
- Step 16 Put the cake in a preheated oven to 170 ° C and bake for 1 hour! We take the prepared pie from the mold, let it cool down completely, and, after cutting into portions, we serve it to the table for dessert.
