A modern woman in the role of a man

Catholics and Orthodox have so far stood firm: no women consecrated! For this, there are many arguments, one of which: a woman "is created as an assistant and therefore can not be a shepherd."

Women's priesthood Catholics and Orthodox consider a manifestation of feminist ambition. However, in Lutherans and English, female priests are not that rare. In Denmark and Norway, the laws permitting a woman to dignity were adopted, respectively, in 1938 and 1947, and in fact the first initiations took place in the 60's. Now in Denmark every third priest is a woman. Over the past 15 years, in many Protestant states, ladies were allowed to become bishops. A modern woman in the role of a man is no longer a rarity.

The first female bishop was the German Maria Eleen in 1992. And recently a scandal broke out between the Evangelical Church of Germany and the Moscow Patriarchate. The new bishop, 51-year-old Margot Kessman, immediately after the election said: The Russian Orthodox Church must recognize that in Protestant churches women can hold leading positions, and until then - no official contacts. Indeed, it looks like an attack of feminist ambition. However, from the theological point of view, this statement, perhaps, can be interpreted as something more constructive.

Become President

The first modern woman in the role of a man who fulfilled the cherished dream of suffragists was Isabel Martinez de Peron. When Juan Peron fell seriously ill, his wife was sworn in as the interim president of Argentina, and she remained in this post for two years - from 1974 to 1976, today, the woman president is no longer surprising. The ladies are headed by Ireland, the Philippines, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania. Last year, the first African woman president, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, became the head of Liberia. Mrs. Clinton had a good chance during the last US elections, and in this case lawyers even considered the question of how to address the female president. It turned out - "Madame President."

In addition, in many powers, from Germany to South Korea, women head governments. And in this sense Ukraine is absolutely an European country - Russian feminists are envious of the successes of our women in politics.

To serve in the military

The army has always been exclusively a masculine territory. The legendary women's battalion guarding Smolny served as a theme of anecdotes rather than a real fighting unit. The only exception was military doctors, nurses and nurse. But that was before. Now almost all over the world, women have the right to join the professional army on a voluntary basis, and they enter, although they understandably have a hard time coming there. But the main thing is that we have achieved, we can, if we want to! In Ukraine, for example, as many as 13% of military personnel are women. Only a few powers are ahead of us in the matter of establishing a gender balance, including the Russian Federation and the United States. True, in the United States equality is achieved at much higher levels. In the US armed forces, more than 50 women have the rank of general or admiral. We do not have female admirals yet. But a modern woman in the role of a man is not considered a rarity.

Send your husband on maternity leave instead of yourself

In Northern Europe, parental leave for fathers has been practiced since the early 1990s. However, usually the "decree" lasts only three months, but both parents take it. The champion in this sense is Iceland, where in 90% of cases the happy father spends the first three months of his life with the child. On the father, who do not take such a holiday, they look disapprovingly in society.

In addition , 20% of West European fathers are carried alone with babies, while mothers provide the family. According to the new Ukrainian legislation, men are also given the opportunity: a 3-year leave to take care of a child can be obtained not only by the mother, but also by the pope, and he is subject to the same rights and benefits, including continuity of employment and preservation of the workplace. It remains only to convince our husbands that it is much more pleasant to take care of an infant than to sit at a computer, in the meantime, when many play modern women as men.

June 1, 1961, when the birth control pills "Anovlar" of the German company Schering appeared, it was the day when women gained real freedom in sex. By this time and public opinion is much calmer than before, related to extramarital affairs and pre-wedding experiments.

Nevertheless, one night stand - "stop for one night" - remained the prerogative of men. It was believed that women relate to a sexual partner too emotionally to perceive sexual intercourse solely as entertainment and pleasure, like a good dinner. On this topic there is a glorious anecdote: "Why do women watch porn films to the end? "Because they hope that there will be a wedding in the finals." But a modern woman as a man plays a special role for a mother, a working woman and a keeper of the home.

But for the last 10 years it has become clear that women are quite capable of abstracting from the happy end and assessing the process on its own. Perhaps because they are too tired at work and give too much strength to a career in order to take responsibility for the relationship with a regular partner and caring for him. In Ukraine, not to mention Western Europe, young successful careerists consider it a good idea to finish the week in bed with a guy who has just met at the club. For business reputation this is not bad: a tendency to sex for one night demonstrates that a woman is not prone to sentimentality and always achieves her.
