- flour - 3 Cups
- baking powder - 2 teaspoons
- salt - 1 teaspoon
- cinnamon - 1 1/2 teaspoons (ground)
- cardamom - 1 1/4 Teaspoons (ground)
- butter - 1 cup
- sugar - 2 cups (light brown)
- honey - 1/4 cup
- Big Eggs - 2 Pieces
- apple puree - 2 Cups
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. In a large bowl, whip together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cardamom. Set aside. Whisk the oil, brown sugar and honey in an electric bowl. Add eggs, one at a time. Reduce the speed and gradually add a mixture of flour. Add the apple puree. Sprinkle with oil a baking dish. Spoon the dough into the mold. Bake the cake for 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool on the grill for 10 minutes. Place on a cutting board or baking sheet. Allow to cool completely. Sprinkle with confectionery sugar before serving, if necessary.
