Charisma: Congenital or acquired

Quite often we hear about some people that he is charismatic, he has charisma. In our subconscious, these phrases, as well as the term "charisma" itself, are associated with success, strength, power, leadership, attractiveness, unlimited charm. Anyone wants to hear such definitions in his address, but, alas, only a few can confidently say about themselves - "I'm charismatic."

So what is charisma: an innate or acquired property of a person.

Now there are about 60 definitions of the term "charisma", but there is still no precise description of this phenomenon. In the Russian language, the closest words that characterize the concept of "charisma" will be "fascination", "attraction", "radiation." The very word came to us from ancient Greece, where "charisma" was used in the sense of "gift", later, the first Christians put in it the meaning of "the gift of God."

Charismatic people are mostly leaders, leading a lot of people, attracting them, like the fire of moths - but why does this happen? How exactly does a charismatic person manage to subdue the crowd? What hidden opportunities do they have? And does any man have such a truly powerful property of character and personality?

Psychologists say that not every person has such charisma to entice a large number of admirers and fans. There are so-called butterfly-ephemera, individuals who have achieved success once, were on the wave of popularity and recognition, but over time they could not hold around this aura of charisma, and all lost. It is much more difficult to maintain the position of a leader and a strong person for a long time.

If we consider historical data, then we can designate a circle of features that together allow a person to have charisma.

A charismatic person is not inclined to hide his physical flaws: truly strong people are strong in spirit, and those who are not ashamed of their injuries are doubly strong and enjoy tremendous popularity. Their life example inspires others, their will suppresses. This was, for example, Oliver Cromwell, who ordered the artist to paint his portrait without embellishment, namely with all the ulcers and warts. But here too there is an exception - Franklin Roosevelt forbade photographers to shoot themselves in a wheelchair.

A charismatic leader must be the bearer of the signs by which he is always recognized and looking at which people remember exactly this person. There are also a lot of examples from history: Churchill's cigar, Stalin's pipe, Luzhkov's cap and much more. Under the signs you can understand all the small things that make up the image of this or that person: gait, the manner of speaking, the manner of dressing, the hairstyle - all this should be memorable and highlight, raise, the person above the crowd.

A charismatic leader must always fight against the enemies of his cause. A strong leader, repeatedly protecting his flock from ill-wishers, involuntarily inspires respect and easy fear. But here it should be pointed out that a charismatic leader will not with the same zeal seek to realize his own goals and ambitions - the servant of the people should be for the people in its total mass.

A charismatic leader should surprise, he must come up with a new one and look for new things in everything. The novelty of ideas and views attracts people who believe that only stepping forward can achieve success, and do not accept vegetation. The element of surprise must also not be forgotten. Even if we forget about politics and return to the ordinary world-a man about whom there are rumors in the company, how wonderful, bright and charming he is, but whom no one has ever seen except a couple of people, will be received with open arms, he will appear in this company suddenly. He will be above the crowd, he has already attracted attention, and the main thing is simply not to lose it.

Now we understand that charisma is not something innate, mystical, incomprehensible, accessible only to the chosen people, but also a clear, thought-out line of behavior in essence an ordinary person. The acquisition of charisma is a long and arduous journey, but possible and real for every person.
