It is a perennial plant with a characteristic aroma and bitter aftertaste. The smell of wormwood is strong, bitter-tart. It grows almost everywhere. The stem is straight, sprawling, up to 1.5 m in height.

Wormwood is a home remedy. For use, the ground part is used without the lower parts of the stem, as well as roots and flowers.

Leaves of wormwood should be collected before flowering, tear off without petioles. Stems with apices cut at the very beginning of flowering. Dry in the shade, in a ventilated room.

  1. Wormwood and carnations. Grass wormwood, cloves and flax seeds grind and take evenly, for 1/2 teaspoon. Blend the mixture with carrot juice. Helps to get rid of worms and other parasites.
  2. Tincture of pumpkin seeds and wormwood (recipe from Vanga's grandmother): mix in equal quantities leaves of bitter wormwood and pumpkin seeds, pour the mixture with vodka in a ratio of 1: 3. Insist for a week in the warmth or sun. Drink 2 times a day for 1 glass on an empty stomach. The course of treatment is several weeks.
  3. Purification by dry wormwood from parasites. Take the prepared dry wormwood, crush it into powder, about 100 gr. Why dry wormwood? Because the broth does not reach the distant parts of the intestine, absorbed along the way, it remains in a low concentration. The first 3 days, every 2-2.5 hours to take 1 tsp. dry wormwood: put in your mouth and wash with water. During the purification of bitter wormwood, there may be weakness, exacerbation of old diseases. A good effect on the purification of the body from parasites is given by the Russian triplet VA Ivanchenko: tansy, carnation (powder) and wormwood.
  4. Tincture of wormwood (recipe): take 1-2 teaspoons herb wormwood for a glass of boiling water, insist 20 minutes, then drink 3 times during the day, 1.5 hours before eating. Infusion destroys pyogenic microorganisms, helps with insufficient allocation of bile, a feeling of overfilling the stomach, sluggish digestion, flatulence, cholelithiasis, jaundice, stones and sand in the kidneys.
  5. Bitter wormwood activates blood circulation and improves metabolism.
  6. Good for diarrhea, anemia, insomnia, relieves heartburn.
  7. Preparation of wormwood root: 2 tbsp. spoons of crushed root, pour boiling water (about 1 glass), boil for 10 minutes. Let cool, drain, take 2 tbsp. l. 3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals. Take decoction of the root of wormwood for cancer diseases.
  8. Wormwood oil. Take fresh wormwood, put it in the jar to the very top, do not ram it, pour olive oil (corn, linseed), close tightly, insist 10 days. The oil should turn dark green or pearly. Then strain and store in the refrigerator. Applied in diseases of the respiratory tract, cough, flu, bronchitis. In cosmetology, wormwood oil is used to care for oily skin, used in aromatherapy.
  9. Also, in addition to the above diseases, grass wormwood treats tuberculosis, scrofula, hemorrhoids, epilepsy and articular rheumatism.
  10. Infusion of wormwood improves the metabolism in the body and activates blood circulation. Therefore wormwood is recommended for obesity, as well as other metabolic disorders.
  11. Wormwood for weight loss. Take the recipe for tincture of wormwood, take 1 tbsp. spoon 3 times a day at least 15 minutes before meals. In addition, for slimming is effective mixture of buckthorn, wormwood, tansy.
  12. Often, the juice of bitter wormwood is recommended for calluses and various injuries. Juice assists in stopping bleeding, acts as a disinfectant and healing agent.
  13. Fresh mashed wormwood can well soothe the pain with severe bruises, dislocations, as it is effective in stretching. Tincture of wormwood is used externally in the treatment of scabies and calluses. The drug "camazulen", isolated from wormwood, has a spasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect, is used for x-ray burns, eczema, rheumatism and asthma.
  14. Diluted with boiled, slightly warm water, in a ratio of 1:10, tincture of wormwood is also used for lotions in inflammatory processes of the eyes, periosteum, articular rheumatism, bruises.
  15. It is recommended to use wormwood tincture for rinsing the mouth, gums and teeth. To do this, tincture should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 1.

Contraindications

Wormwood in large doses or long-term use is undesirable, since it can provoke a breakdown of the nervous system, so treatment should not be more than 2 weeks, after which it is necessary to make a two-week break.

Contagious wormwood in pregnancy and lactation, also with enterocolitis, bleeding and anemia. It is undesirable to take it with a stomach ulcer or gastritis with a low acidity, as well as allergies.
