Puff pastry Puff pastry was invented in 1645 by Claudius Gele, a pupil of one of the French confectioners. Claudius wanted to bake delicious bread for his sick father, who would satisfy dietary prescriptions - from water, flour and oil. Claudius kneaded the dough on the table and wrapped a piece of butter in it. Then he rolled it and repeated the procedure ten more times. Then he formed a loaf of bread and baked it. The surprise of the pupil and his teacher was unlimited, when they extracted bread from an oven of unusually large size and non-standard form. Puff pastry is also great for both fish and fruits, berries and other products. Cookies "Ears" are easy to prepare and very tasty! Try it!
