Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the muscat gourd. Season with salt and pepper. Fry, stirring frequently, until the pumpkin turns slightly brown, from 5 to 6 minutes. Add 1/4 cup water and reduce the heat until it boils. Cover and fry until the pumpkin is ready and soft, from 8 to 10 minutes.
