Grouping indoor plants

Unique and amazing compositions from indoor plants can be created using a combination of plants of the same species or color in groups. They can also combine species of flowering plants with species that have decorative leaves. The choice of suitable species for a beautiful composition should be approached responsibly. Only the right grouping of indoor plants will get a really bright effect.

Methods of grouping

Tapeworm

By this name is meant a single plant, placed separately from other plants, to attract special attention to it.

The choice of a single plant should be approached with special care, because it is an independent object of decoration and must withstand competition with other elements of the interior.

In addition, large-sized soloists often serve as a natural partition separating different areas of the room. So you can separate the dining area from the common living room. The solitary plants easily fill the void in the room, making it more cozy.

Pot group

This grouping of plants is a collection of flowers growing in individual pots, but closely located to each other. When creating a pot group guided by the principles of grouping, which allows you to create a very harmonious composition, rather than a spontaneous cluster of flower pots.

The basis of the standard one-sided pot group is 4-12 species of plants with similar requirements for illumination, temperature conditions, humidity, watering. Plants with decorative leaves are grouped in a certain way to create a beautiful decorative effect. Among the array of their green foliage or on the foreground put 1-2 potty species with decorative flowers.

The background is for tall specimens with dark or large foliage. If such plants were not found, then in the background are placed ordinary views on the stands, which visually increases their height. For pot groups, ampel plants are also suitable. Usually they are placed in the middle of the composition so that they can frame the pots with their hanging stems.

Room garden

The room garden consists of plants planted in a common container. Or plants can be planted in separate pots or containers with a soil mixture. Usually, in such indoor gardens, plants are more comfortable than in pot groups.

When creating a room garden follow the rule that the plants in it must differ in shape, height, color of leaves and flowers. At the heart of the garden are plants with decorative leaves. On their background, vivid, flowering species are planted. Shadow-tolerant plants should be placed in the center of the container. To mitigate the angular contours of containers, it is recommended to plant in the garden ampel species or lianas, for example, dwarf ficus, Tradescantia, ivy, zebrin.

"Flowering pot"

"Blossoming pot" is a separate kind of a room garden. It is a container of plants with decorative leaves. In their midst, fresh cut flowers are inserted. To create such a flower pot is very simple. Between the flower pots in the peat is placed a metal or glass tube with water. It is in it and put the cut flowers.

Landscape composition

The landscape composition is also referred to as a garden, but it is a miniature landscape. It is made up of tiny plants (bonsai including). In this landscape there are small ponds, paths, buildings, figures of animals and people. However, working with landscape compositions is not easy and requires the florist to have special skills and knowledge about caring for them.

Terrarium

It is a transparent vessel made of glass or plastic, inside which planted plants. The terrarium creates a humid climate due to the fact that air access is blocked or restricted. This promotes the cultivation of particularly capricious and delicate plant species, for which room conditions are too harsh. Under the terrarium can be adapted aquarium, a wide bottle or other large transparent container.
