Blue dragon of paper - step by step instruction
In order to make a dragon in the technique of modular origami, we need triangular modules of blue (397 pcs.) And white (44 pcs.) Colors.
Torso
- To assemble the trunk, you need to connect the modules according to the following scheme.
1 row - 4 blue modules;
2 row - 3 blue modules;
3 row - 4 blue modules;
4 and the subsequent even series - the repetition of the number 2;
5 and the subsequent odd numbers - the repetition of the number 3.
In total it is necessary to collect 62 rows in a single chain.
The principle of trunk assembly is clearly visible on the following video.
- After assembly, the trunk should be carefully bent as shown in the photo.
Head
The head of the dragon is collected quite easily according to the following scheme:
1 row - 4 blue modules;
2 rows - 5 blue modules;
3 row - 6 blue modules;
4 row - 5 blue modules;
5 rows - 1 blue; 1 white; 2 blue; 1 white; 1 blue - only 6 modules;
6 rows - 2 white; 1 blue; 2 white - only 5 modules;
7th row - 6 blue modules;
8 row - the module starts to dress from the second tip of the module - 2 modules of blue color; then, skip 2 more tips and start dressing 2 more blue modules;
9 row - on 2 modules we put on top one blue module. Next, on the left module on the left side, we put on another module. Also do with the right module, only the module needs to be worn on the right.
The video on the assembly of the dragon's head can be viewed here.
Paws
We begin to assemble the paws of the dragon.
The assembly scheme is as follows:
1 row - 2 blue modules;
2 rows - 1 blue module;
3 row - 2 blue modules;
4 rows - 1 blue module;
5 row - 2 blue modules;
6 row - 1 blue module;
7 row - modules insert the short side - 2 blue modules;
8 row - modules insert with short side - 1 blue module;
9 row - modules insert short side - 2 white modules.
The video of the paw assembly is presented here.
In total, you need to collect 4 paws.
Tail
The tail assembly is as easy as the head and paw assembly.
The first row starts with 5 blue modules. In the second row, add 1 module.
In the second row there are 6 blue modules.
3 rows - 1 white, 5 blue, 1 white module;
4 rows - 1 white, 1 blue, 2 white, 1 blue, 1 white module.
Then, on the blue modules you need to dress 2 white modules.
We finish the tail by dressing the white modules with one more white module. The tail is ready!
Wings
It remains to collect the wings. To do this, you need to connect the modules according to the scheme:
(Left wing)
1 row - 1 blue module;
2 rows - 2 blue modules;
3 row - 3 blue modules;
4 rows - 4 blue modules;
5 row - 5 blue modules;
6th row - 6 blue modules;
7 row - 5 blue modules;
8 row - move to the right to two modules, then dress 3 white and 3 blue modules;
9 rows - 1 white and 2 blue modules;
10 rows - 1 white and 2 blue modules with a shift to the right;
11 rows - 1 white and 1 blue module;
12 rows - 2 white modules;
13th row - 1 white module.
The right wing is made in the same way as the left one, with the only difference: the modules from white paper must be inserted not on the left side, but on the right side.
The order of the wing assembly is shown in the same way on the video.
Our dragon has 2 wings.
All the details are collected, now you can start assembling the dragon.
Scheme of the dragon assembly
We fix the finished parts as shown in the photo: the tail is attached using a module.
The head should be fastened with toothpicks.
The wings, like the tail, are attached using modules.
Paws to the trunk are fastened with toothpicks.
Look, what a gorgeous dragon we have!
