Rolls with cucumber In the preparation of rolls, you need to master several techniques. The first, and probably the most frightening, is the process of spinning sushi rolls, but believe me, after a couple of tests, you can easily cope with it. The main roll to tighten as tightly and neatly, and then give it a more round shape or vice versa to form a rectangle. It is important to properly boil the rice, the recipe that we offer will allow us to prepare the basis for the roll in just 30 minutes - the main thing is to strictly follow the instructions. We are offering today to cook hosomaks, that is sushi rolls with one filling and a small thickness, for this purpose the nori sheets will be cut in half. As a filling, there will be a cucumber, picking cucumbers, note that they are without large seeds, if all the same seeds are large, they must be removed. Rolls with cucumber are very simple, so this is an excellent option to start mastering the process of making sushi rolls - try it and you will definitely get it!
Ingredients:- Round-grain rice 300 g
- Cucumber 3 pcs.
- Seaweed nori 4 pcs.
- Vinegar rice 2 tsp.
- Sugar 2 tsp.
- Water 350 ml
- Step 1 To prepare the rolls, you need 3-4 sheets of nori, cut in half, rice, small fresh cucumbers.
- Step 2 300 grams of rice rinse well under running water, so that the wash water becomes almost transparent.
- Step 3 Pour 350 ml of cold water and bring to a boil over high heat without the lid.
- Step 4 Then cover and cook for 12 minutes, reducing the fire to a minimum. After removing from the heat, and without removing the lid, let it brew for 10 minutes.
- Step 5 Prepare the refueling: connect 2 tsp. rice vinegar, 2 tsp. sugar and 2 tsp. well warm boiled water - mix everything well until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Step 6 In the hot rice pour in the dressing and gently mix everything, cool the rice to room temperature.
- Step 7 Peel the cucumbers and cut into thin strips.
- Step 8 On a half sheet of nori lay rice with a thickness of 0.5-0.8 mm, so that there is 0.5-1 cm of uncovered nori sheet on one side - this is necessary for the sheet to glue well into the roll.
- Step 9 Put a few strips of cucumber.
- Step 10 Carefully and tightly roll the roll.
- Step 11 Ready to leave the roll for 5-10 minutes. From the specified quantity of products it turns out 6-7 rolls.
- Step 12 Cut the roll in half and then 3 more pieces.
- Step 13 Serve rolls with wasabi, marinated ginger and soy sauce.
