Oriental porridge Mash - groats, a family of legumes, is also known under the name - beans mung. It is very common in Central Asia and in the East. Dishes with it are very satisfying and tasty. Mash is very useful for the female body, has cleansing properties, contains B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, sodium and iron. With mache soups are cooked and garnishes are prepared. Before preparing the mache, it is best to soak in the water for at least half an hour.
Ingredients:- Mash 160 g
- Long grain rice 130 g
- Onions 1 pc.
- Carrot 1 pc.
- Corn oil 2 tbsp. l.
- Salt 3 g
- Pepper fragrant 1 g
- Step 1 To prepare the porridge we need: rice, mung beans, onions, carrots, vegetable oil.
- Step 2 Grind carrots and onions in a convenient way for you. I always cut carrots, I do not use graters.
- Step 3 Fry the onions and carrots in a small amount of vegetable oil. Oil is suitable for anyone.
- Step 4 Add the washed, pre-soaked mache. Pour 1.5 cups of water and cook for 25 minutes on low heat under the lid. To try a grain of masha, if it is easily cracked, then the mash will soon burst and you can lay rice. If the water suddenly boiled out before - nothing terrible, you can again add boiled water.
- Step 5 At this stage, we put the washed rice into the saucepan. Rice is better not to take starch, hard varieties, those that are suitable for pilaf. In this case, the Uzbek variety Laser, is designed specifically for pilaf.
- Step 6 Rice with mache again pour water, so that water covers the rump by 1 cm Salt and pepper to taste. Some housewives immediately pour all the water together with the mache, then the porridge will not turn out friable. As you like. Cook under the lid until the water boils off and the softness of the rice.
- Step 7 Porridge from masha and rice is ready. Try it on salt and you can serve. The same porridge is cooked with meat. Serve usually with yoghurt and fried in tomato onions. Can be used as a regular side dish. Bon Appetit!
