Potatoes "Idaho" in the oven This dish came to us from America. Idaho in this case - the name is not a sort of potato, but the way of cooking. Although the variety of Idaho Rasset potatoes, crumbly and with a thick skin, is perfect for this recipe. In our region to find it is quite difficult, so do not despair, ordinary potatoes are also very well suited. Also, do not confuse this dish with the Idaho potato casserole! Potatoes "Idaho" - as an excellent independent dish, and a hearty garnish! Serve a large potato dish with beer, adding it with garlic sauce, and the company will never want to leave your house!
Ingredients:- Potatoes 500 g
- Fresh dill 200 g
- Salt 1 tbsp. l.
- Pepper black ground 1 tbsp. l.
- Paprika sweet ground 1 tbsp. l.
- Garlic 1 head
- Cheese hard 200 g
- Pepper sweet 2 pcs.
- Sunflower refined sunflower oil 50 ml
- Step 1 For Idaho potatoes we will need: potatoes, fresh herbs (dill), garlic, spices, cheese, vegetable oil and Bulgarian pepper.
- Step 2 Rinse the potatoes thoroughly. You do not need to clean it. Cut along two halves, then another 4 pieces.
- Step 3 Grind the greens and squeeze out the garlic.
- Step 4 Mix the greens, garlic, vegetable oil and spices.
- Step 5 Slice the Bulgarian pepper.
- Step 6 Rub grated cheese.
- Step 7 Pour the potatoes with cold water, bring to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes.
- Step 8 Drain the water and add the dressing to the potatoes.
- Step 9 Cover the pan with a lid and bake it to allow the dressing to spread evenly over the potatoes.
- Step 10 Put the pepper and potatoes on the baking sheet (do not use oil to lubricate it). Lightly season with pepper. Bake at 190 ° C for about 30 minutes.
- Step 11 10 minutes before the end of cooking sprinkle the potatoes with grated cheese and return everything to the oven.
- Step 12 Serve as an independent dish, adding it with fresh salad, as a side dish or as a snack to beer.
