The recipe for cooking rice with saffron: 1. Saffron must first be soaked in boiling water - once in a dish it is never put. Somewhere half a cup of boiling water will be enough. 2. Qualitatively wash rice - water should become completely transparent. 3. Remove the seeds from the hot pepper. 4. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil, throw a hot pepper, a whole clove of garlic and a few twigs of thyme. Fry for a couple of minutes, then remove the pepper from the pan, a minute later - thyme, a minute later - garlic. 5. On a quick fire, fry rice in the remaining oil. Literally seconds 30 - so that the rice is soaked with oil. 6. Fill rice with water and saffron. 7. Wait until rice absorbs water. This will take no more than 2 minutes. 8. After 5 minutes, open the lid and look - if rice completely absorbed water and became dry, we pour more water, if still wet - it means everything is fine. Add salt and pepper and cover with a lid for another 5 minutes. 9. Re-open the lid and try the rice - if ready, then remove from the heat and serve. If not, then pour a little more water and cook under the lid closed until ready. The principle, I think, is understandable. 10. Fragrant rice with saffron ready :)
