Pie with walnut and poppy filling The recipe for this pie was offered to me by Peter from Israel. From the photo I was interested in the cooking process. I changed the way of folding the spiral, added some ingredients. In general, the cake turned out to be beautiful and tasty. The first time I made a nut-and-poppy filling. Due to the addition of starch to the milk mass, the filling turned out soft, tasty and easily fitted into the dough strip. Who likes yeast pies - try to cook, I think you'll like it!
Ingredients:- Flour, wheat 400 g
- Sugar vanilla 4 g
- Sugar 3 tbsp. l.
- Milk 150 ml
- Salt 4 g
- Butter 100 g
- Eggs chicken 1 pc.
- Yeast dry 10 g
- Water 30 ml
- Potato starch 1 tbsp. l.
- Apple 2 pcs.
- Plum 500 g
- Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
- Poppy 70 g
- Almonds 60 g
- Milk 150 ml
- Butter 10 g
- Eggs chicken 1 pc.
- Honey 1 tbsp. l.
- Step 1 To make a fruit cake, you will need a dough: flour, yeast, egg, butter, milk, sugar, salt; for the filling take milk, almonds, poppies, sugar, starch, water, plums, apples; for cake pudding: butter, honey, yolk 1 egg.
- Step 2 Pour the yeast with warm milk. Leave for 5 minutes.
- Step 3 Mix the sifted flour with vanilla sugar and salt.
- Step 4 Add the egg, softened butter, yeast, dissolved in warm milk to the dry mixture.
- Step 5 Knead the dough. Leave in the warmth for 1 hour.
- Step 6 Dilute starch in cold water.
- Step 7 In the meantime, boil the milk, add sugar, roasted ground almonds, washed and dried in a poppy pan. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring. After pour a thin trickle of starch, cook for another 2 minutes. The filling is ready.
- Step 8 Cut the apple halves into thin slices. Pour plums. Cut into slices.
- Step 9 Prepare the dough as a rectangle and cut it into 3 strips.
- Step 10 Parts of the stripes should be glued together with water or milk into a single whole strip. Twist it. In the middle of the strip, put a poppy filling. Lubricate the edges of the milk and combine. Heat the oven to 180 ° C.
- Step 11 Transfer the dough to a greased form. Start and simultaneously twist the cake with a ring (seam down). Slice and apples slices between the test in a spiral. Put the cake for 15 minutes in the heat.
- Step 12 Bake in a hot oven for 50 minutes. 10 minutes after the start of baking, grease the cake with the egg yolk of one egg.
- Step 13 Remove the prepared pie, hot lubricate honey mixture with oil, cool on the grate. Serve with tea.
