Dietary properties of bakery products

Adhering to a certain diet for weight loss, we are very careful about choosing the main dishes included in the daily ration, but often do not pay enough attention to the availability of bread and bakery products in the menu. Some people consume a very small amount of these foods, others, by habit, simply do not imagine a dinner without the obligatory presence of a loaf of black bread and a loaf on the dinner table. Which of these options will be more useful if you follow a diet? To answer this question, let's analyze in more detail the dietary properties of bakery products.

So, first of all, you should pay attention to the caloric content of these foods. It should be noted that this indicator for bakery products is quite large. So, if a loaf of black bread has a caloric content in the range of about 200 - 240 kilocalories per 100 grams of product, then for white bread and loaves this value reaches already 300 kilocalories. If we are talking about buns, cookies and other baking, then the calorie content of such products reaches even greater value - from 300 to 450 kilocalories per 100 grams of product.

As for the importance of the mentioned properties of bakery products for dietary nutrition, it is necessary to note the following: the higher the caloric content of the product, the less desirable it is to eat it if you want to get rid of the "extra" kilograms. The buns and buns already mentioned will bring the most harm to your figure, since they are the most caloric. Excess energy in the form of calories delivered to the body will turn into additional deposits of adipose tissue. In addition, many bakery products can contain quite a decent amount of sugar. But this carbohydrate, moreover, that it is very high in calories, is also very quickly absorbed by our body, which also provokes an increase in excess body weight.

Does all this mean that baked goods have low dietary properties? If you mean sweet buns and other similar confectionery, then most likely you can really talk about their negative effect on the state of your figure.

However, with regard to different types of black bread, one can say that their dietary properties are still quite high. First, bread can be regarded as a source of vegetable proteins. In the grades of black bread, the protein we need is about 6 to 7 grams per 100 grams of product (which is not so little). Secondly, the maintenance in bread of fats (the most high-energy components of a food) absolutely low - 1-1,5 grammes on 100 grammes of a product. Thirdly, the carbohydrates contained in bakery products (there are quite a lot of them - 40 - 50 grams per 100 grams of product) with moderate consumption will only benefit, releasing the energy necessary for the body during digestion in the gastrointestinal tract.

Even more high dietary properties are baked goods from wholemeal flour. The particles of cereal shells that remain in such flour contain a large amount of vitamins, especially group B. In addition, this variety of bakery products contributes to the improvement of the gastrointestinal tract by stimulating peristaltic contractions of the intestinal walls.

Given the above information about the dietary properties of bakery products, you will be able to think more carefully about the possibility of including these products in your diet. At the same time, it is not necessary to completely refuse muffins - you can even afford to eat even a sweet bun, but it's better to do it in the morning (in this case, it is more likely that in your body these calories will be used up rather than being deposited in excess adipose tissue).
