1. Mix the cream and corn syrup and bring to a boil in a small saucepan. Pour hot cream over pieces of dark chocolate in a bowl and let stand for 1 minute until the chocolate melts. Stir the mass together and check to see if all of the chocolate has melted. If not, place the pan over a water bath, but that its temperature does not exceed 94 degrees. 2. Mix the chocolate mixture with the softened butter. Then add the liquor by choice and mix until smooth. 3. Pour the frosting into a wide, shallow saucepan. Allow to stand at room temperature until cooked, until it thickens. 4. Form the truffles and lay them on parchment paper. Dip into the melted dark chocolate. Once the chocolate layer has solidified, dip again. If desired, the truffles can be rolled in cocoa powder. Truffles should look neat and beautiful!
