Useful properties of rosehips Among other fruits and berries, rosehip takes a special place, due to the very high content of vitamin C. Even in the lemon, which we are accustomed to consider a storehouse of this vitamin, it is five times less than in the dog-rose. Rosehip in some books on phytotherapy is sometimes called a cinnamon or damask rose, and a drink from its fruits increases the immunity and overall resistance of the body to catarrhal diseases. Rosehip is useful for febrile conditions, rapid fatigue in the winter-spring period, as well as choleretic, bactericidal, antiscorbutic and antisclerotic. Unfavorable phenomena can only cause a very long use of a drink from rose hips in high doses, but this happens very rarely. The hips can be crushed or used as a whole before preparing the broth or infusion. Since the vitamin C decomposes in the light, the drink is prepared in opaque dishes. Very often for this purpose use a thermos, daily adding a few new berries and a portion of boiling water. Drink a drink from the dog rose preferably through a straw.
