- corn flour - 11/2 Cups
- flour - 1/2 cup
- baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- large salt - 1 teaspoon
- grated cheese - 1/2 cup
- coarsely chopped fresh or frozen corn kernels - 2 Cups
- warm water - 0,75-1 Glass
- vegetable oil, for frying - 4-6 Art. spoons
Mix in a bowl of corn flour, flour, baking powder and salt. Add cheese and corn kernels. Add 1/4 cup of water at a time, stirring until the mixture thickens. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a cast-iron frying pan over medium heat for 5 minutes. Bake pancakes from the prepared dough, frying them until golden brown, 2 to 4 minutes on each side. If the frying pan quickly becomes dry, add more oil. Allow the oil to drain and serve.
