- Dark Blue Beans - 2 Cups
- Bacon - 250 Grams

Soak the beans for the night in cold water. Cook the beans in the same water until soft, about 1 to 2 hours. Drain the water and set the broth aside. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees C). Put the beans in a roasting dish, shifting with bacon and onions. In a saucepan, combine treacle, salt, pepper, dried mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and pour into the beans. Pour a sufficient amount of poured broth to cover the beans. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil. Bake for 3 to 4 hours in a preheated oven until the beans are soft. Remove the lid about half-ready and add more liquid, if necessary, so that the bean does not become too dry.
